The Pacific Islander Healthboard is hosting Free Doula Training with Faisa Farole, of Global Maternity Services. The training is open to all Pasifika and BIPOC Community member ages 21+. There is limited openings so please register soon.
Our goal is to encourage Pacific Islander and BIPOC community members’ involvement in programs which our communities rely on and greatly benefit from. This program will serve to provide certification for the work that our members have been doing for generations within our own villages. Our hope is to provide practical skills in order to expand knowledge, and provide access to job opportunities.
Thanks to the incredible support of the PI Health Board of WA and their partnership with Birth Worker Faisa Farole, ED of Global Midwifery Services the incredible opportunity to become a trained doula has been made available to the community. Upon completion of training, participants will be required to attend 3 births in order to complete the certification process. Following certification, they will be certified as a doula and able to work with private birth work practitioners and clients.
