Thank you for your interest in volunteering with Open Arms!

We can always use volunteers to support our work and we have many opportunities for you to get involved. Whether it is delivering baby supplies to new parents, sorting and organizing donations, welcoming and assisting community members shopping at the free Baby Boutique, your support helps children, families, and communities thrive.

Role: Delivering essential items (diapers, wipes, formula, car seats, and produce bags) to clients.

What would volunteering look like? We are currently doing “no contact” deliveries.

Time Commitment: While there is not a set number of hours or days required, we do ask for consistency. Whether you are looking to volunteer weekly, bi-monthly, monthly, or one-time, please only commit to what is within your capacity.

When: Item pick-up Thursdays 9:30 am – 3 pm, deliveries (flexible)

Where: Items are picked up from the Open Arms’ office at El Centro de la Raza, located in Beacon Hill. Current client deliveries extend from Tacoma in the south to Mukilteo in the north. We will work with you to make the route convenient according to where you live.

Requirements:

  • Flexible, friendly, and welcoming
  • Reliable vehicle, valid driver’s license, and proof of auto insurance
  • Background check required
  • Proof of COVID-19 Vaccination
