Open Arms is looking for a highly organized, proactive, and people-centered Executive Assistant to support both our Executive Director and Director of Programs. This role is perfect for someone who loves keeping things on track, bringing order to busy schedules, and anticipating needs before they’re voiced. An Executive Assistant who is detail-obsessed, resourceful, and calm under pressure will enable our key leaders to focus on big-picture leadership and managing our teams. As an important administrative partner in a mission-driven organization, the Executive Assistant will keep the day-to-day running smoothly and thoughtfully, ensure timely and clear communication, and build effective coordination across the organization.

Community Education & Engagement- Lead and Administrator

Open Arms is looking for a full-time Community Engagement & Education Program Lead and Administrator (CE Program Lead & Admin) who thrives in working behind the scenes – organizing logistics for trainings and events and managing daily program operations. We are looking for someone who is proactive, loves planning, has a deep passion for administrative work, and enjoys coordinating details that go into successful trainings. The ideal candidate should be an excellent communicator, proficient with technology and online tools, have a knack for developing and managing systems, and bring a strong background in project or event management, process development, program evaluation, and data collection/evaluation. This is a 40 hour per week position requiring 3 days per week in person.

Birth Doula-Contract Position

Open Arms’ Birth Doula Services program is looking for trained and/or certified birth doulas to join our core team of contract doulas! Community-based matching is central to the success of Open Arms’ Birth Doula Services Program. By pairing birthing people with doulas from their communities, we ensure culturally responsive care that centers families’ traditions and lived experiences. For this reason, we are seeking doulas who demonstrate lived experience in one or more of the following communities, including but not limited to: Black/African American, Spanish-speaking/Latine, American Indian/Alaska Native, Asian, Pacific Islander and LGBTQIA+ communities. We are looking for doulas who can serve multilingual families across King, Pierce, and Snohomish Counties.

Members of the Open Arms Board of Directors believe in and are willing to support the mission of Open Arms, advocate and promote the organization to their personal network and others, and engage meaningfully in board meetings, organizational events, and fundraising opportunities. We seek new members who want to support under-served pregnant and parenting people and their families primarily in Seattle, King County, and increasingly in Pierce and Snohomish Counties. We encourage the application of candidates from any background who possess valuable skills to contribute to our board.

Open Arms hires certified and trained birth doulas and contracts a core team who manage either a full- or part-time client caseload. If you are interested in becoming a doula with us, the first step is to complete a birth doula training program such as Shafia Monroe Consulting (SMC) Full Circle Doula Training or the Simkin Center for Allied Birth Professions.
