The Perinatal and Lactation Support Collaborative sponsored by Best Starts for Kids, has a goal to improve perinatal health outcomes for King County.

We offer prenatal and lactation support services combining together midwifery practices, birth workers, and other perinatal professionals through no cost group prenatal care, culturally-relevant education and support, and referrals to services and resources to help families achieve a healthy pregnancy, delivery, and family during the baby’s first year of life.

API Chaya is a Perinatal Collaborative Partner creating and holding space for dialogue around culture and healthy families and relationships.

Midwifery Services

Birth is a natural process and Global Midwifery Services wants birthing people to know that they should be in charge of their own bodies and be empowered by this experience. They shouldn’t feel threatened or bullied into making decisions that they don’t want to make.

Global Midwifery Services provides midwifery and lactation services, private childbirth education, and clinical consultations for the Perinatal and Lactation Support Collaborative. Our mission is to educate, respect, and empower low-income, refugee, and immigrant women and their families during pregnancy, birth, and into early parenting. In 2021 Midwife, Faisa Farole, CPM, LM, CLC partnered with the Pacific Islander Healthboard (PIHB) to lead a Doula Training focused on the Pasifika and BIPOC communities.
